Fibroid Awareness Month is July 1-31

Girl Talk: Real Talk About Your Body was created to help young girls better understand their bodies, build confidence, and feel supported during an important stage of growth. These sessions provide a safe and welcoming space where participants learn what’s normal and healthy about their menstrual cycles, how nutrition and self-care impact their well-being, and when to speak up if something doesn’t feel right. This knowledge helps replace fear or confusion with confidence and a stronger sense of control over their health. To extend this learning beyond the sessions, a parent or guardian is required to attend alongside them, ensuring ongoing support at home.
Just as important, these sessions create an opportunity for girls and their caregivers to connect, learn, and grow together. Girls are encouraged to express themselves, ask questions without embarrassment, and develop pride in who they are, while parents and guardians gain tools to better communicate and support them. Sharing this experience strengthens trust and understanding, helping girls feel seen, empowered, and prepared to grow into confident young women.
